Vineyards in Kent

Did you know that there are some excellent vineyards in Kent producing red, white and sparkling wines. We are at last being taken seriously and our wines are recognised as being of excellent quality.


Biddenden Vineyard and Cider Works

Visit this vineyard, admission and tasting is free. You can stroll around the 22 acres of vines, set in the beautiful Kentish Countryside. See the presses and bottling line in the Winery then visit the Tasting Room to sample the wines, ciders and apple juice.

If you visit in september you can see the wine presses in operation in the winery. Bottling of the wines takes place early in the year.

Lunch and cream teas available as well as a shop selling preserves, chutneys, mustards and honey.

At Easter they hold a bunny hunt for the children, check their website for other events.

Lamberhurst Vineyard

Lamberhurst Vineyard One of the first vineyards in Kent and listed as one of the Seven Wonders of the Weald.

Tours and wine tasting available, or have breakfast or lunch in their restaurant.

The shop sells wines, preserves, cheeses and home baked biscuits. You can also buy a hamper including wine and enjoy a picnic anywhere in the vineyard.

Chapel Down Winery, Tenterden

One of the largest producers of English wines, guided tours of the vineyard and winery are available from March to October. You are quite welcome to just stroll around the vineyard, herb garden and landscaped grounds if you don't want the tour.

Entry and parking are free and wines are always available on free tasting in the shop. You will also find excellent Kentish and English food and drink for sale, including their wines.

They have a restaurant open for lunch and dinner.

Sandhurst Vineyards

The 25 acre vineyard is part of a family run mixed farm. Visitors are welcome to walk round the vineyards and other parts of the farm at any time and their wines are available for tasting and sale at the Farm Shop.
